The university and union continued to exchange numerous counterproposals on non-economic matters and reached a tentative agreement regarding grievance procedure.

The university and union held two bargaining sessions the week of March 18, with numerous counterproposals shared as we work towards a first collective bargaining agreement.

At the March 8 bargaining session, the university engaged in productive discussions with the union regarding pending non-economic proposals.

At the February 29 bargaining session, the university and union progressed discussions and reached a tentative agreement on a contract proposal regarding appointment postings.

At the February 15 bargaining session, the university reiterated its long-standing commitment to inclusivity.

At the February 2 bargaining session, the university detailed the comprehensive health and safety initiatives and protocols in place to protect graduate workers.

At the Dec. 14 bargaining session, the university presented proposals on a number of topics, including nondiscrimination, bargaining unit, and union dues and fees.

The collective bargaining process between UE Local 1043-SGWU and Stanford University began on November 3, 2023.
